Mariah Carey é homenageada no MTV Video Music Awards 2025; veja lista de vencedores

Mariah Carey ganhou o primeiro VMA da carreira na noite deste domingo (07). A cantora, que será uma das atrações do The Town, recebeu o Video Vanguard Award das mãos de Ariana Grande.

O Video Vanguard Award é concedido a artistas que tiveram impacto relevante na indústria musical. Apesar de ter sido indicada oito vezes ao VMA, Mariah Carey nunca tinha vencido.

Na premiação, a cantora apresentou seus grandes clássicos, como “Fantasy (Bad Boy Remix)”, “Honey & Heartbreaker”, “Obsessed”, “It’s Like That”, “We Belong Together”, e as novas “Sugar Sweet” e “Type Dangerous”, esta última lhe rendeu o prêmio de Melhor R&B. No The Town, Mariah Carey se apresenta dia 13, mesma data que terá Jessie J e Ivete Sangalo.

Lady Gaga foi o grande nome da noite, conquistando o título de “Artista do Ano” e outros três prêmios. Sabrina Carpenter veio logo atrás, com três troféus. Já Ariana Grande levou o prêmio “Vídeo do Ano”, com a produção “Brighter Days Ahead”.
